Suntory Whiksy celebrates Japanese art for Father’s Day

In honor of all fathers, and in particular Shinjiro Torii, the founding father of Japanese whisky, Suntory Whisky celebrates the Japanese art of giving by paying tribute to its origins.

The House of Suntory continues Shinjiro’s legacy by honoring Father’s Day and the Japanese Art of giving with “tsutsumu”, the art of wrapping. The award-winning whiskies Yamazaki, Hakushu and Hibiki will be discovered nestled in the warm embrace of a “furoshiki” (scarf) produced exclusively for Father’s Day.

Every year on Father’s Day, the House of Suntory Whisky pays tribute to its founding father, Shinjiro Torii. Since 1923, he has inspired generations of Suntory craftsmen with a passion for the art of Japanese whisky.

A pioneer and visionary, Shinjiro Torii has every reason to be proud of his descendants. He passed on his passion to his son, Keizo Saji, and then to his grandson, Shingo Torii, themselves Master Blender at Suntory. Today, Shingo is extending the influence of this art of blending far beyond Japan’s borders.

The House has just been named “Distiller of the Year” four times at the International Spirits Challenge, and each of its whiskies has received the world’s highest honors and awards.
