Taking emptiness as the starting point of the creative process, Nothing Nine explores the philosophical concept of “Everything from nothing” in its spring-summer 2027 collection. Chloe, the brand’s founder and artistic director, draws on Taoist philosophy to question the moment when a new form emerges from absence.

Visual restraint is the starting point for sophisticated experiments with texture, volume and colour. The pared-back silhouettes reveal themselves through three-dimensional embroidery, layered textile surfaces and discreet animal allusions, sketched by hand or concealed within tone-on-tone motifs. Particular attention is given to the materials, developed in collaboration with French and Italian textile houses with centuries-old expertise. Bead embroidery, feather work, textile reconstruction and hand painting give the materials a new dimension, making craftsmanship an essential component of the artistic approach.

Paris emerges in the collection not through literal references, but through details inspired by the city’s night lights, the play of shadows and the architecture of its cathedrals. These impressions take shape in exclusive linings, whose motifs reveal themselves as the garments move. Another source of inspiration is the work “Window and Light”, created by Naomi, the designer’s daughter, at the age of six, after observing sunlight passing through a latticed window. Transposed onto a textile specially designed for the collection, this spontaneous composition of colour fields becomes a wearable work of art. By combining Eastern philosophy, European textile traditions and artisanal know-how, Nothing Nine shapes a singular visual language in which minimalism becomes a space conducive to the emergence of new forms.
