Since the creation of Mezan, the cellar master has led a relentless quest to unearth exceptional rums from the vast Caribbean region. Meticulously selected from legendary distilleries, Mezan rums capture the diversity and intensity of this myriad of islands. With no added sugar or coloring, no cold filtering, and aged in old Bourbon casks until optimal maturation, Mezan rums retain all their purity and authenticity.

Mezan is offering three new vintages straight from Trinidad, Panama and Jamaica for Father’s Day. These three rums, with their complex, fruity flavors, will appeal to rum connoisseurs and neophytes alike. This year, the house is stepping up a gear with Trinidad 2007 and Jamaïque 2005, two new 46% vintage rums.

JAMAICA 2005

Light herbaceous aromas, with underlying notes of dried fruit and green banana, can be felt on the first sip of Jamaïque 2005. Subtle woody, caramelized and fruity flavors follow on the palate. The wine concludes with light notes of pepper, oak and vanilla. Jamaïque 2005, 12 years old, is distilled in a sugar refinery dating back to 1720.

TRINIDAD 2007

The Trinidad 2007, has lively, fresh aromas of coconut and tobacco leaf from the first sip. The finish is slightly spicy, with hints of honey and oak. This 10-year-old Mezan rum has been aged directly in the Caribbean in old bourbon casks.

PANAMA 2004

Panama 2004, reveals notes of tropical fruit, clove and nutmeg from the first stroke, followed by aromas of crème brûlée, woody spices and honey. The palate finishes with sweet, spicy reminders of ginger and vanilla. Panama 2004 rums, 13 years old, are aged in two stages, in old oak bourbon casks.
