Swiss watchmaker Hublot, known for its philosophy of “The Art of Fusion”, once again reveals its ingenious savoir-faire with the creation of the Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A by Samuel Ross. The result of a collaboration with avant-garde artist and designer Samuel Ross, it embodies the essence of creativity and technicality, fused in a watch that defies convention.
For over 10 years, Hublot has demonstrated its love of art by collaborating with daring artists and designers, constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The partnership between Hublot and Samuel Ross, initiated in 2020, culminated in the creation of this unique watch after three years of rigorous engineering process.
The design of the Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A by Samuel Ross reflects the SR_A signature, demonstrating precision, clarity and meticulous choice in every aspect of industrial expression. The watch features a reinvented case, crown, dial, bracelet and bezel, all designed with unrivalled precision and creativity.
The artist chose to clad all case components in shiny bead-blasted titanium, introducing an industrial allure that blends perfectly with the three rubber straps in bright green, black or white. Samuel Ross has refined the design by introducing subtle yet striking details, reflecting his constant quest for perfection.
This timepiece is powered by the Manufacture caliber HUB6035, composed of 282 elements, oscillating at a frequency of 3 Hz and offering a 72-hour power reserve. The Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A is a limited edition of 50, available at a price of CHF 120,000.
Polymorphic artist Samuel Ross, winner of the Hublot Design Prize, continues to impress with his innovative collaborations, translating his signature design language across diverse creative platforms. The Big Bang Tourbillon SR_A by Samuel Ross is a true ode to innovation, pushing the boundaries of watchmaking and art, and once again affirming Hublot’s philosophy of the Art of Fusion.
