Sisterhood Is Global “, ” Sisterhood Is Powerful “. Embodying a powerful, free and daring sisterhood, models Selena Forrest and Ruth Bell reveal themselves in front of Brigitte Niedermair’s lens. The campaign captures the essence of Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Fall-Winter 2019-2020 ready-to-wear collection, whose heroines are the Teddy Girls, the beautiful rebels and icons of the 1950s.

Dior unveils the campaign for Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Fall-Winter 2019-2020 ready-to-wear collection, inspired by the rebellious elegance and creative audacity of the Teddy Girls, the female counterparts of the Teddy Boys, symbols of the English counter-culture.
In front of Brigitte Niedermair’s lens, models Selena Forrest and Ruth Bell embody the committed spirit of these creations. For her first campaign for the House, the Italian photographer – whose powerful graphic stagings give life to fascinating detour – has imagined an artistic dialogue between past and present, figurative and pure art. Through a play of curves
and abstractions, her contemporary vision sublimates the icons of Dior style.
A veritable ode to sisterhood, this series of shots traces the contours of an assertive femininity, like the silkscreened Sisterhood is Global and Sisterhood is Powerful T-shirts
, which pay homage to the literary works of American feminist poet Robin Morgan. As a modern echo of the 1950s and the New Look silhouette, the Bar jacket has been redesigned along a more masculine line, underlined by belts evoking the emblematic curves of the Saddle bag.
The latter, in denim punctuated with the Dior Oblique motif, is unveiled alongside the Dior Book Tote and the Diorcamp, both in gingham, the iconic Lady Dior , revisited in matte leather, and the House’s new must-have bag, the
30 Montaigne , presented in a new version of crumpled lambskin, with a vintage effect.
A symbol of the British culture so dear to Christian Dior, tartan meets toile de Jouy and leopard, the couturier-founder’s signature codes. A manifesto of elegance according to Dior, punctuated by precious couture accessories, where low-heeled pumps and ankle boots, pearls and crystal-rimmed sunglasses rub shoulders with reversible veil bobs created by Stephen Jones, the House’s British milliner.
