This Thursday, May 22, lingerie brand WACOAL organized a special event at Printemps Haussmann in Paris as part of the brand’s ongoing tour. Indeed, the brand is criss-crossing France with La Tournée WACOAL En Dessous (#TWED). The idea? Portrait women in lingerie.
I went to the WACOAL corner out of curiosity and to discover this brand I only knew by name. For the event, the brand sported a pretty atmosphere reminiscent of Sofia Coppola’s film Marie-Antoinette. A table was laid out with delicacies and accessories such as headbands, necklaces, fans and, more surprisingly, an imposing Marie-Antoinette-style wig.
I was quickly welcomed and introduced to the brand, which combines both aesthetic and comfortable lingerie. The Spring-Summer 2014 collection favors powder pink and pastel colors. WACOAL has created specialized lingerie for generous breasts, combining support, comfort and aesthetic appeal.
After viewing some of the 140 portraits taken in the various cities, I surprised myself by agreeing to pose in lingerie for Eudoxie. Despite my very modest nature, I found myself sitting down to pose for the portrait. The consultants were very good at advising me on what to wear to reveal myself, but not too much.
