The Champs-Élysées Film Festival 2023 is a must-attend event for lovers of French and American independent cinema. Founded in 2012 by Sophie Dulac, the festival celebrates freedom, intimacy and love through a selection of bold, committed films. The 12th edition will welcome such exceptional guests as Ira Sachs, Ben Whishaw, Eliza Hittman, Bertrand Bonello, Rebeka Warrior, Claire Simon, Nina Menkes, Pénélope Bagieu, Irène Drésel, Ellie Foumbi, Rabah Nait Oufella, Charlotte Abramow, Simon Rieth, Dimitri Doré, Lina Soualem, Silly Boy Blue and Nathalie Duchene.

The feature film jury will be chaired by director Bertrand Bonello, and will be made up of personalities from the world of cinema and culture, including Pénélope Bagieu, Irène Drésel, Ellie Foumbi and Rabah Nait Oufella. The official French and American medium-length and short film competitions will be submitted to the Formats Courts Jury, chaired by Rebeka Warrior.
The festival will also feature previews of feminist and activist feature-length documentaries, as well as retrospectives and encounters with directors who explored female power in the 1990s and 2000s.
In addition to the film program, the festival will showcase the new French independent scene with showcases and DJ sets to liven up the festival nights.
The Champs-Élysées Film Festival 2023 will take place from June 20 to 27 in partner cinemas on the Champs-Élysées avenue: Le Balzac, Le Lincoln, Publicis Cinéma, Gaumont Champs-Élysées and UGC Normandie. The full program will be unveiled on June 8, 2023.
