Lace has long carried a kind of injunction: that of the wedding dress, the trousseau, the exceptional night that justifies discomfort. With Luxe Lace, Savage X Fenty takes the opposite approach. The collection reinvents classic lace through a lightweight, four-way stretch fabric designed to follow the body’s movements naturally while creating a discreet second-skin effect beneath clothing — enough to wear it on an ordinary Tuesday as much as on a festive evening.
The collection comes in a palette ranging from timeless black and versatile neutrals to bolder shades — vibrant pink, deep blue and bright red. It includes the Luxe Lace Underwire Slip, the Luxe Lace Unlined Low-Cut Balconette Bra and the Luxe Lace Thong Panty, pieces designed to be worn together or separately, in a stated balance of comfort, self-confidence and sensuality.
“We want people to feel beautiful and good in their skin,” Rihanna explains of Savage X Fenty, a brand she approaches with the same standards as all her projects: creating something new that everyone can relate to. This philosophy is reflected concretely in the offer: bra band sizes from 80 to 120 (FR/ES) — or 65 to 105 in European sizing — with cups from A to F, and XS to 4X for the other pieces. A range that is still far from the norm in lingerie.
One question remains, which the brand never asks directly but which the collection raises nonetheless: by democratising a fabric long associated with exception and rarity, does Savage X Fenty dilute lace’s symbolic charge, or does it instead restore its original function — clothing the body in confidence, without waiting for an occasion to feel worthy of it?
