To mark Gitana’s 150th anniversary, Caron is unveiling a limited edition of Pour Un Homme. The collaboration is rooted in a shared vision: the boldness of a pioneering move that defied the conventions of its time.

Gitana was founded in 1876 on Lake Geneva, when Julie de Rothschild christened a racing yacht. In 1934, Ernest Daltroff created Pour Un Homme, one of the first modern men’s fragrances. Its innovation lay in an unexpected combination: the freshness of lavender paired with the warmth of vanilla.

Olivia de Rothschild, artistic director at Caron, weaves these two stories together through the concept of the “step aside.” The dialogue with Gitana 18, a new-generation ocean-going trimaran, imbues this edition with a sense of tension, balance, and momentum.
