The Copacabana Palace reopens its Pool Wing with a five-storey Wellness Club. Dior opens a spa in a hotel where the House had already presented haute couture in 1961.

On 3 November 2026, the Copacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel, reopens its renovated Pool Wing and inaugurates a Wellness Club spread over five floors. The Dior Spa Copacabana Palace, presented as the first Dior Spa in Latin America, is its centrepiece. The whole will be open to guests and to the public, every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

What the Wellness Club contains

The club brings together a fitness centre equipped with Technogym’s Artis range, a studio dedicated to movement, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu space and a floor devoted to recovery, with saunas including an infrared one, a hammam, an ice bath and an ice fountain. A Suco Bar offers fresh juices and nutrition inspired by Brazilian ingredients. A hair salon, a barbershop and a Beauty Lounge complete the whole.

Six treatment rooms and an offer reserved for Rio

The Dior Spa has six treatment rooms and a space devoted to the House. According to the press release, the hotel will be the only address in Rio where one can discover La Collection Privée, Dior’s haute parfumerie created with its perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, and L’Or de Vie, a skincare line formulated from extracts derived from Château d’Yquem. To these are added the Prestige line, built around the Granville rose, harvested once a year, and the Dior Maison wellness line, which makes its debut in Brazil.

Two treatments are designed with the Brazilian dermatologist Maria Bussade, founder of Bussade Health in São Paulo: the Couture Radiance Facial, which combines massage, dry brushing and microcurrents, and the Carioca High Sculpt, inspired by Brazilian body sculpting. The Healing Heart Ceremony, conceived for this spa alone, combines semi-precious stones and singing bowls. The menu also includes Kobi-Dior, a facial massage inspired by Kobido and devised with Hadda Akrim, and the New Look Dior protocol.

A shared memory between Dior and Rio

The link is documented. In 1961, Marc Bohan, artistic director of Dior from 1960 to 1989, presented a collection of haute couture in the gardens of the Copacabana Palace. Fourteen years later, he chose Copacabana beach as the setting for the shoot of his swimwear collection.

The scheme rests on exclusivity: lines reserved for Rio, a treatment created for the place, a local collaboration. It also draws on this memory, which gives the House’s arrival a continuity that a mere commercial partnership would not have.
