It’s D-Day for the 8th edition of Le Mans Classique, which runs until July 10. The famous Bugatti circuit will be decked out in the colors of Richard Mille, the competition’s exceptional partner and official timekeeper.
Each edition is a veritable jewel of time created by Richard Mille, and this year, more than ever, the RM 11-02 exudes the passion of the automobile. The watch is imbued with the history of this event: from the movement to the case.
The chronometer watch is as high-performance as the drivers who have so far written the legend of the world’s most famous motor race. With its grade 5 titanium automatic caliber, variable-geometry rotor, annual calendar, UTC display, 24-hour flyback chronograph and, of course, countdown timer, this watch is both prestigious and exclusive.
The tappets are designed in such a way that the ridges are reminiscent of the surface of pedal bearings and evoke clutch plates, while the plate is ribbed like an engine casing.
And to make this watch even more historic, the Le Mans Classic logo appears on the dial at twelve o’clock, with the “16” indication representing the start time of the endurance race.

This year, some 60 manufacturers will be represented by 160 clubs and 8,000 cars. The great parade, acclaimed by the public, will take place to the delight of speed lovers.
The opening line-up gets underway with the C Racing group, a first for this competition.
