Maison JACQUART was born in the heart of the Champagne region, in Reims, and it is also in the heart of this land that it has carved its history in stone. Today, after half a century of adventures and bold choices, this most contemporary of brands is proud of its passion for men, vines, ingredients and the know-how shared by those who, since 1962, have been involved in the formidable adventure of this renowned Champagne… “We share the same vision of the profession: to cultivate the excellence of the gesture”.
For Champagne JACQUART is above all a story of men, of talented and daring winegrowers who joined forces and decided to found a common brand. The year was 1962, and these visionary winegrowers, both craftsmen and entrepreneurs, were determined to offer wine lovers a brand born of the vineyards they worked in every day. From season to season, in a perpetual quest for truth and perfection, they lovingly guide the vines to deliver their best fruit, and put their talent at the service of a blend of men and terroirs to create a unique wine. To taste a JACQUART Champagne is to savor the fruit of this know-how and to share in the winemakers’ passion for the Champagne terroir.
Since its creation, Maison JACQUART has written its history in Reims, city of the coronation of the Kings of France for centuries and internationally renowned Champagne capital. During the 2009 harvest, Maison JACQUART moved to Boulevard Lundy, the prestigious address of many of the most renowned Champagne houses. The Hôtel de Brimont, built by Paul Blondel, who worked with Baron Haussmann at the end of the 19th century to renovate old Paris, became the new address. Louis XV in style and discreetly majestic, it has stood behind a magnificent wrought-iron gate since 1896. Two pavilions frame the courtyard. All four facades are dressed in freestone. The Hôtel de Brimont reflects the long-term vision of Maison Jacquart, which is writing a new chapter in its history. The interior features five reception rooms. The layout is guided by a desire for elegance and prestige without formalism, inviting sharing and conviviality. A harmony between Heritage and Air du Temps… in the image of the youngest and most singular of the great Champagne Houses.
Since its creation, Maison JACQUART has cultivated the same ardor to achieve the goal it has set itself: to become one of the greatest international brands born from the vine. Champagne JACQUART’s influence is embodied in an emblem: the allegory of Renommée mounted on Pegasus. This symbol is historically present on all Champagne JACQUART bottles. It illustrates the success of the brand and the quality of its wines. Today, the Renommée also embodies the brand’s international development and echoes Maison JACQUART’s values of elegance. For the Greeks, the Renommée was a winged divinity, daughter of the Earth and messenger of Zeus in the same way as Hermes. At the dawn of the 18th century, Antoine Coysevox created his masterpiece by reinterpreting this theme: a masterly sculpture in Carrara marble, extolling the fame of the Sun King. Installed in the Tuileries, it proclaimed the King’s power, then became the symbol of Louis XIV’s cultural influence, and finally… of the French art of living.
In 1998, three winegrowers’ unions joined forces to create the Alliance Champagne group. Together they acquired the Champagne JACQUART brand, and today represent one of the largest supply areas in Champagne, accounting for over 7% of the appellation’s vineyards. A mosaic of plots covering 350 ha is dedicated to Cuvées Champagne JACQUART. This vineyard includes over 60 crus spread over the Côte des Blancs, Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Bar. The vignerons-associés take great care of it. Their cohesion and loyalty are the keystone of Champagne JACQUART. This JACQUART signature has become a promise of authentic quality that is expressed every day: in the vineyards… the grapes come exclusively from the group’s own vineyards and are meticulously selected by the craftsmen… the House has total control over the wine-making process. for wine-lovers the world over…

The 2005 harvest, whose year reserved a beautiful scenario for the Champagne region, reveals a magnificent vintage. After a cool, dry winter, an early heatwave in June which favored the vines, some light rain in midsummer and the return of warm weather in early September,
the harvest enjoyed ideal weather for the grapes.
The blend of this prestige cuvée brings together, in equal parts, all the strength of Pinots Noirs from the Montagne de Reims, classified as Grands Crus (Mailly and Verzenay) & the freshness of Chardonnays classified as Premiers Crus (Villers Marmery and Trépail)
After a respectful vinification, free from any technological complexity, the wines are aged in a measured and adapted way to work the matter and reveal a full, silky and fine texture of the wine.
