L’Eau Extraordinaire combines materials selected for their energizing powers on the senses.
Combined with Alien’s signature white amber-cashmeran wood, it’s a SOLAR bouquet of citrus and flowers, airy and festive, a symbol of radiant femininity: bergamot, neroli, tiare flower and heliotrope. These materials have blossomed in the sun to better restore its benefits, at the heart of a generous fragrance.

This precious new case reveals the champagne-gold brilliance of eau extraordinaire. In the tradition of Alien bottles, it is inspired by precious stones and crystals, intense sources of energy and light, with mystical powers.
This original design pays tribute to the “marquise” style, a way of cutting stones into 56 facets using compLex and meticulous savoir-faire. in france, this 18th-century innovation is said to have been inspired by king louis xv’s love for his favorite, the marquise de pompadour: the rounded lines of the cut stones pay homage to the beautiful marquise’s radiant smile. a way of transcribing the strength of his feelings in precious material and covering the beloved woman in shimmering, joyfully shaped jewels. this sensuality and femininity now adorn the bottle of the new interpretation of Alien: eau extraordinaire.
The awakening of the Solar Goddess to light: new Alien campaign, press, digital and TV
Alien is a modern divinity born of Thierry Mugler’s unique aesthetic vision.
“To continue the story of Alien, we imagined the continuity of the previous visual: the Goddess awakens to sunlight, like being reborn by the Sun, the source of life on Earth. She receives this light and diffuses it. This is the image of the Goddess-Statue becoming a woman, her heart beginning to beat in symbiosis with the light. She’s more accessible, more feminine. In the Tuscan heights of Italy, zenithal sunlight filters into the heart of the Castello di Sammezzano, an architectural UFO. In the fascinating shimmer of gold and the explosion of color of the “Peacock Room”, the Solar Goddess receives this light and seizes it; she integrates the light into herself, awakens, comes to life and radiates. Her entire being is inhabited by this intense energy… In a gesture of absolute offering, she floods the Earth with light and spreads her benevolent energy.
She wears a white dress veiled in gold with gold edging, inspired by a couture creation by Thierry Mugler, with an organza and aluminum veil. This new-generation sheath is woven with LED light and fiber optics to illuminate from within; applied to couture, it’s an avant-garde technology, realized under the creative impetus of Monsieur Mugler.
