La Sultana is undoubtedly the most luxurious and refined venue in Marrakech’s medina. A romantic little oasis. Visit of the place.

In the street leading to the Sultana, a veil of dust hangs in the air, mopeds backfire and street vendors shout at passers-by. Once through the hotel door, you enter a calm, peaceful, refined world.
Classified as a historic building, this 5-star hotel is a skilful blend of luxury and authenticity. Its 28 rooms and suites are divided between five traditional riads with different atmospheres. Each room boasts a refined, elegant decor, imbued with authenticity and featuring antique furniture, beautiful fireplaces and touches of Moroccan zelliges and tadelakt.

At the heart of the Almohade riad, the swimming pool is surrounded by sculpted arches and majestic trees (banana and palm). Meals are served here. The salads are generous and refreshing. The swimming pool is a real highlight. In Marrakech, few riads in the medina offer one. Worthy of Roman terms, the sumptuous spa provides moments of absolute serenity.

The other huge plus is the view. From the terrace, you are truly immersed in the heart of Marrakech: the Saadian Tombs, storks’ nests, fruit merchants unloading their wares in the early hours of the morning.
Visitors are also spoilt for choice when it comes to gastronomy. Breakfast on the terrace is a delight. Pancakes, makouda cakes and fruit are all on the menu. Dinner is one of Marrakech’s finest evening spots.

A stay at La Sultana is a romantic, timeless experience. It’s a glamorous, timeless Marrakech.
