Opening of Maliparmi’s first Parisian boutique, at 73 rue des Saints-Pères in Saint-Germain-des-près. A typical Haussmann-style building houses the boutique, conceived and designed around an entirely new concept.
The space has been reinvented in a spirit that is both eclectic and nomadic, with different designs based on mobile display units. An evolving and welcoming boutique, which brings a certain continuity to the “home boutique” concept so dear to Maliparmi: a place for shopping, of course, but also a meeting place where you can escape the daily frenzy for a few moments.
A white wooden bookcase unites two spaces, revisiting the typical structure of a home in a multifunctional, technological spirit: sliding shelves and compartments create spaces of different sizes to hold bags and accessories, while small screens scroll images from the collections and retrace the brand’s history. Books, flowers and objects of various origins serve as a backdrop to the product, each in its own way recounting the entire Maliparmi universe.
The other display elements are equally dynamic, recalling different eras: a large workshop mirror and brass art nouveau-style racks stand alongside more modern displays or mobile cupboards with colored or open bottoms.
Result: A collection presented in a new light, giving the impression of entering a real women’s wardrobe.
