Wacoal announces the new structure of its European business
In January 2015, Wacoal Holdings Corp will change the name of Wacoal Eveden Limited, a Group subsidiary primarily responsible for the European business sector, to Wacoal Europe Limited. With this new structure Wacoal will enhance the Group’s brand in Europe and create a second pillar of development in the Western Hemisphere, complementing Wacoal America.
The international segment of Wacoal Holdings Corp. includes local subsidiaries in 22 countries and regions. At present, business is based on 4 key zones: America, Europe, Asia and China.
Wacoal acquired Eveden Group Limited in April 2012, making it a Group subsidiary and focusing all its attention on Europe, with the aim of expanding and organizing a highly promising business. The Eveden Group had established a solid sales infrastructure and brand awareness primarily in the European market, as well as in North America and Australia. In order to effectively pool the sales channels, technology, management know-how and brand awareness of both companies, they reorganized to integrate the management of Wacoal’s existing activities.
