Richard Orlinski, the world’s best-selling French artist, and Hublot combine their expertise to unveil theAerofusion Chronograph Orlinski.

Hublot and Richard Orlinski combine their expertise to create the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski, imprinted with the artist’s graphic universe. The watch reveals a totally innovative design, where folds, edges and facets are reflected from the case to the bezel, from the pushers to the hands. To celebrate their marriage, the sculptor and the Maison Horlogère naturally chose Miami and two places that are dear to them, in the heart of the Design District: the Hublot boutique and the Markowicz Fine Art gallery, where the artist’s works are exhibited. The world’s best-selling contemporary French artist joins the Hublot family alongside Maxime Büchi, Lapo Elkann, Pelé, Lang Lang, Bar Refaeli, Usain Bolt and Dustin Johnson.

A WORK OF ART ON THE WRIST

You’re bound to have come across his faceted, pop-colored bestiary somewhere. From huge Wild Kongs on the Croisette in Cannes, to crocodiles in the sunshine of the Miami Design District, to 5-meter bears on the snowy slopes of Courchevel, it’s impossible to miss Richard Orlinski’s unique works. The artist, accustomed to cutting his sculptures like diamonds, never shies away from a challenge. Under Richard Orlinski’s hands, the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph is adorned with its emblematic facets, 12 of course, like those that punctuate the dial of a watch! A lover of exceptional craftsmanship, the artist has imagined a watch on the borderline between vintage and neo-futurism, in the image of his works inspired by the Pop-Art movement. Looking to the future, the watch hand becomes a symbolic metaphor for Richard Orlinski: by never ceasing to turn, it embodies infinite time. Motivated by the same sense of detail and driven by the same passion, the contemporary artist and Hublot have together conceived an original creation, pushing back the frontiers of traditional watchmaking expertise. When time becomes art, when art becomes time!

WHEN RICHARD ORLINSKI SCULPTURES TIME, IT BECOMES NEO-FUTURIST The Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Orlinski is available in two models, each limited to 200 pieces: one in titanium and the other in blue ceramic. The watch becomes a 45 mm work of art to be worn on the wrist. The Hublot x Richard Orlinski watch features a sapphire dial with indexes and hands, while facets punctuate the case, bezel, crown and push-pieces. A major challenge for Manufacture Hublot, which after modeling Richard Orlinski’s work – a three-dimensional folding of the case – carved it out of ceramic and titanium. Two materials that display one of the artist’s emblematic signatures: the mirror-polished finish.
