As a token of its longstanding passion for equestrian sports and its attachment to its female clientele, Longines has enriched its line The Longines Equestrian Collection with new models inspired by the rectangular buckle of the presentation bridle of the unique Swiss horse breed, the Franches-Montagnes. While remaining true to the elegance that characterizes the brand with the winged hourglass, these models have been created as an allegory of the equestrian universe.

The history of Longines and that of equestrian sports have been intertwined for over a century. So it was only natural that the brand should dedicate a collection to this passion. The various models in The Longines Equestrian Collection have one thing in common: their references to the equestrian world. Shapes and materials draw their inspiration from symbolic elements of this environment, like a sublimated echo of the world in which horse lovers evolve. In this way, Longines celebrates the elegance of riders and their mounts.

Today, Longines is diversifying this collection with new variations that take up the lines of a rectangular buckle found on the presentation bridle of the unique Swiss horse breed, the Franches-Montagnes. The cradle of this horse is the historic Swiss Jura, a region that is dear to the winged hourglass brand, since it is also the one that saw it born and assert itself in the cenacle of great watchmakers. These new models take up all the identifying attributes of The Longines Equestrian Collection and are dedicated to lovers of equestrian sports. On their wrists, the waltz of the hands cadences the rhythm of time and merges with the step of the horses. With The Longines Equestrian Collection, Longines has created an authentic allegory of the equestrian world, paying tribute to the brand’s deep-rooted ties with it.

Available in four sizes, these new steel models feature a quartz movement. The polished lacquered black, “checkerboard” silver and white mother-of-pearl dials are adorned with diamond hour markers, while the “flinqué” silver dial features blue Roman numerals and the matte white dial black Arabic numerals. Occasionally, the elegance of these timepieces is enhanced by a farandole of diamonds that accentuate the harmonious curves of the case. These models are adorned with steel bracelets or stitched leather straps to match the riders’ outfits.
