Summer 2016
Havana
Summer 2016 is filled with a feeling of exuberant colors, patterns and rhythms. The mood reflects Cuba and the forbidden but tempting fantasy of island life – its decadent cultural heritage and the mysterious, nonchalant attitude of its capital, Havana.
Printed and embroidered palm leaves adorn the silhouettes. Delicate detailing showcases a variety of artisanal techniques. Structured and patchwork prints, jacquards, intricate laces and exaggerated appliqués offer multiple dimensions to this fluid collection.
A tropical color palette of citrus green, ocean blue, sorbet pink and brown tobacco evokes Havana’s eclectic interiors and alleyways.
Silhouettes for the day consist of multiple ensembles, including cotton shirts with knotted ruffles, patchwork-printed dresses, lace peasant dresses with ruffled skirts, and casual linen culottes and jumpsuits.
For evening, it’s a celebration of opulent textures and prints. Faceted sequins, pompoms, embroidered mirrors and satin-stitched flowers cover tailored jackets and vests. Exaggerated exotic birds are printed on satin jacquards with abundant ruffles and citrus-yellow accents.
All accompanied by sandals with handmade leather soles and wide Panama hats reflecting the laid-back attitude of island life.
This collection embraces both day and evening in a lively and animated way, while at the same time being confident, joyful and ultra-feminine.
