The Japanese fashion house’s vision remains true to its leitmotif of playful minimalist futurism. Guston bags and clutches are made from a single piece of top-quality leather, reversible, adaptable and playful in the image of the 21st-century woman.
In today’s fast-paced world, human beings, and especially women, need to be reactive and able to adapt quickly to any chance change. Depending on the circumstances, she needs to be efficient, daring and tenacious, but also able to indulge in phlegmatism and gentleness. A kind of intuitive schizophrenic equilibrium must be mastered in an era where the desire for purity and balance is relentlessly confronted by the refrain “Work Hard/Party Hard”.
The Guston collection offers a playful take on the dilemma we face every day. Made from a single piece of leather, these bags and clutches are reversible and offer two different styles, one playing with color and geometry with flat tones that bring relief to the leather, the other immaculate, plain, more sober. For the Autumn Winter 2015 season, gray, purple, pink and green come to color the series. The two looks complement each other, offering greater freedom and transformative power.
