Urbanears is proud to present a new opus in its “Listen to yourself” campaign, a brand initiative for creatives who listen to their inner voice and make it their guide. A stage for the curious who draw maximum color from life and let their unique personalities speak for themselves. Urbanears invited jewelry and accessories designer Yazbukey to express herself through the customization of Plattan 2 Bluetooth headphones and Baggen, Stammen and Lotsen connected speakers. While the “Listen to yourself” campaign was launched in London last September, notably through a collaboration with international artist Tove Lo, and then in Shanghai with influencer Zhuzi in October, the Urbanears universe continues to expand thanks to ever more inspiring partnerships. Urbanears’ collaboration with Yazbukey enables him to use the brand’s products to express himself creatively and artistically, whether with the brand’s signature headphones, the Plattan 2 Bluetooth or its range of connected speakers. Story-telling, trompe-l’œil and surreal pop are the foundations of the Yazbukey spirit. “For me, ‘Listen to yourself’ means listening to yourself and your dreams, allowing yourself to dream and express yourself through the music you love and listen to on a daily basis,” explains Yazbukey. “It’s also a way of reaching out and touching others through my art, my vision of the world and letting them take part in my story,” she adds. Yazbukey’s collaboration. Yazbukey is known for its bold jewelry, leather goods and accessories with playful pop references. Most often in Plexiglas, her brightly-toned jewelry plays on the trompe-l’œil effect. “I watch a lot of old films and collect a lot of inspirational images. I like to revisit images or films because we always discover something new in them, our mood always draws our gaze to another point,” says Yazbukey. “Everything can become a source of inspiration. I love immersing myself in vintage photos, watching films or simply people on the street,” continues Yazbukey. So, for his collaboration with Urbanears, Yazbukey reworked his famous plexiglass mouth and applied it to both the speakers and the Plattan 2 Bluetooth headset, in a pink and a red version.
