As it does every season, Swarovski revisits its DNA, reinterprets its codes and renews its inspiration to deliver a collection that’s right in tune with the times, while still carrying the touch of glamour and sparkle that is the house’s signature. For Spring Summer 2015, the idea of nature, and more specifically that of a garden, is at the heart of the collection. There’s nothing literal or primitive about it. On the contrary, it’s a dreamlike, resolutely modern garden, which the collection declines from spring and the softness of its pastels to summer, more lush and colorful. “Nature has always been of particular importance to Swarovski. The Crystal Garden collection reaffirms our thirst for modernity, hence the choice to have stylized fauna, flora, insects… to retain fluid, feminine lines and motifs,” says Artistic Director Nathalie Colin. Light and airy, this contemporary garden features openwork metalwork, organic shapes and oval, navette- and pear-shaped crystals that subtly evoke leaves and petals. Like a sun, gold metal shines throughout the collection, combined with a palette of crystals combining celadon, pink and turquoise accents. Versatility and diversity are also on the agenda, to accompany multi-faceted women every day in their every desire.

The evocation of nature is expressed first and foremost through color, a real strength at Swarovski, which boasts a portfolio of 150 crystal hues and effects. Pastels lend freshness and softness to pieces like the “Clay” necklace, composed of supple strands of pink and water-green crystals and strands of mauve crystal beads. The flagship “Stardust” bracelet also sparkles in pastel hues. Single and double bracelets, featuring 730 and 1460 XS crystals respectively, are now joined by two-tone versions and necklaces, for an inimitable touch of light from morning to night. After the delicate gradations, the colors gain in intensity to create a midsummer mood, with opulent flowers and assertive glamour. Perfectly illustrated by the “Céleste” pendant and cuff. XL volumes and rich crystal ornamentation are lightened by flat areas of Plexiglas on which the crystals, assembled using the “Crystal Rock” technique, appear to float.

Another feature of the collection is the preponderance of gilded metal. Solar, luminous and refined, the metal is displayed in a variety of treatises. In the “Crown” necklace, gilded metal offers a choice setting for imposing faceted crystal spikes, and adds relief to the crystal-pavé pyramids punctuating the wide snake-mesh chain. In a much more minimalist vein, Swarovski’s “Click” theme features beaded metals combined with pavé crystals. Supremely soft and feminine, this theme is available in pink, gold and silver metal to mix and match all looks. With style and poetry, the Candy theme was inspired by insects and butterflies to deliver delicate pieces, including a pendant illuminated by hand-applied crystals using the exclusive Pointiage® technique. Graphic and tinged with Art Deco overtones, the “Cubist” theme features a play of cuts that brings out the brilliance of the pavé micro-crystals. With its long snake-mesh chain, the pendant displays a sensual fluidity,
Bathed in light and color, the Spring Summer 2015 Crystal Gardens collection offers a multitude of designs, from the finest to the most opulent, to bring glamour and sparkle to everyday wear.
