In the prestigious lair of watchmaking, brilliant collaborations are regularly born, giving rise to creations that embody the quintessence of luxury and technical expertise. Today, we are delighted to present a collaboration that once again highlights the mastery of two giants of the industry: H. Moser & Cie and MB&F. This alliance, solidified by years of friendship and partnership, has reached a new peak with the revelation of their latest creation – the Streamliner Pandamonium.
The story behind the collaboration
This significant collaboration is not new. The friendly and professional relationship between Edouard Meylan and the team at H. Moser & Cie and MB&F goes back several years, to 2011, when they began integrating balance springs manufactured by H. Moser subsidiary Precision Engineering AG into their renowned creations such as the LM1. This association has deepened over the years, marked by the dazzling success of the LM101 and Endeavour Cylindrical Tourbillon editions in 2020.
The Streamliner Pandamonium: A masterpiece of Haute Horlogerie
Today, they proudly announce a timepiece that promises to eclipse their past successes. The Streamliner Pandamonium, born from the fusion of the worlds of these two iconic houses, is a unique timepiece created for the famous Only Watch auction. Since 2005, Only Watch has worked tirelessly to raise funds for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a serious genetic disease.
The watch immediately captivates with its distinctive, minimalist aesthetic: the Streamliner case, a smoked dial devoid of logos or indices, embodies Moser’s typical streamlined style. It houses a minute repeater complication extensively modified to incorporate MB&F’s distinctive flying balance, suspended beneath a sapphire dome. And that’s not all: it features a striking mechanism animated by a miniature panda, a figure that has become emblematic of MB&F creations for Only Watch.
This panda figurine, integrated into the mechanism, is more than just a design element. It reflects a poignant message, evoking the dreams of children affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. This panda, handcrafted in white gold and measuring just 5.35 mm, took countless hours of painstaking work to create, marking every stage from design to polishing.
Where to discover this marvel?
Don’t miss the opportunity to see this exceptional timepiece live on its Only Watch world tour, culminating in the auction on November 5 in Geneva. For more information on Only Watch, visit their official website.
We invite you to support this noble cause and take part in this historic moment in the world of luxury watchmaking.
