OTTOLINGER is a Berlin-based brand founded by Swiss-born designers Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient in 2016. The two young women met while studying at the Basel School of Design and quickly made a name for themselves with their avant-garde, deconstructivist approach to style.
After working in collaboration with Kanye West for his YEEZY brand, Christa and Cosima became known for their punk approach to couture, proposing asymmetrical silhouettes, a raw aesthetic and using only manual processes of garment abstraction and deconstruction. The final reassembly produces an unexpected, antithetical harmony between meticulous construction and a rebellious spirit tinged with punk influences.
OTTOLINGER was among the semi-finalists for the 2018 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.
