Color: Sparkling golden.
Nose: A curious blend of tarry smoke and black pepper. Some herbal notes emerge. Then comes a taste of sweet caramel and black smoke e uves, very recognizable of the Ardbeg style.
Taste: a multitude of intense, sparkling peppery notes give way to the rich flavor of licorice, charcoal and peppermint. Harmony persists, with hints of creamy vanilla and spice.
Finish: Long, but sweet, added to a note of tar, anise and smoked butter.
This new version is like no other, a tribute to the tenacity of the men and their know-how.
At the end of the 20th century, the distillery was going through a difficult period, with business slowing down and teetering on the brink of collapse… In a last effort, the company decided to create an exceptional opus to relaunch production.
A bold inspiration, several bourbon casks are filled with an original liquid with perfectly defined facets that will prove remarkable; the notes are intense, peppery and peaty, with a blend of sweet caramel, toast, charcoal and peppermint.
