In order to meet the anticipated high demand for the Apple Watch and avoid the inconvenience of stock-outs, the brand’s management has decided to only accept orders placed online during the launch period.
Customers wishing to try out an Apple Watch are invited to book an appointment at www.apple.com/fr. Once there, they can try on the Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport or Apple Watch Edition and then personalize it by choosing the model, size, finish and strap to suit their taste. In addition to discovering the three Apple Watch collections, every visitor to the Apple Store will be able to enjoy a demonstration with the Apple Watch Demo. This is the first opportunity to try their hand at browsing and modifying the various dials, exploring in detail the fitness and health functions, Digital Touch technology, Siri, and much more.
Customers in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the USA will be able to try out the Apple Watch at their local Apple Store or at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Isetan in Tokyo, Selfridges in London and at selected Apple Authorized Resellers in Japan and China.
New features developed for the Apple Watch include the Digital Crown, a revolutionary technology that offers an innovative way to scroll, zoom and navigate fluidly, without obscuring the screen. The Apple Watch’s Retina display features a new capability, Force Touch, which captures the difference between touch and pressure, offering a new way of accessing relevant commands quickly and easily. Finally, to inform the user of a new notification or message, a light pressure on the wrist will be produced by the brand-new Taptic Engine.
