On the rooftops of Beaubourg, Dutch designer Iris Van Herpen brings to life sculptural works inspired by nature, and more specifically by the interplay of magnetic forces. Volumes are created by laser-cut plastics, like origami, placed on body-hugging dresses. Shoes, like molten metal, give a surprising gait and complete the silhouette. The dresses are like PVC mesh shells. These infinitely body-shaping volumes exude strength and poetry. A short, preformed, crystal-like dress closes this artist’s performance.
