Discover Vraymonde, the restaurant of the Buddha-Bar hotel

Rue d’Anjou, a stone’s throw from the Elysée, the Buddha-Bar hotel is the place to be seen. Opened this summer, it features a restaurant: Le Vraymonde. Here, you can savor fusion cuisine that tantalizes the taste buds in a colonial Asian decor. And in the kitchen, the talented Rougi Dia.

With its succession of private rooms decorated in shades of golden yellow, carmine red and orange, and its many mirrors, Le Vraymonde takes us on a journey. At lunchtime that day, the restaurant is packed. Word of mouth is beginning to spread. The tables are well spaced out. We are seated, the menu is very rich and many dishes are very attractive. Formulas are also available. We end up choosing a tartare of sea bream, puffed rice with pesto and avocado cream. The marriage of flavors is perfect. The crunchiness of the puffed rice is a great idea for this dish. What’s more, the dish is really aesthetically pleasing.

We continue with a fillet of beef and mashed potatoes. The cooking is just right. A real treat. During service, a waiter offers me a loaf of olive bread fresh from the oven. The service is very kind.

To finish, let yourself be tempted by a mango meringue dessert.

In short, a pleasant lunch in a very cosy setting. In fine weather, the restaurant boasts a sublime terrace in the courtyard of this 18th-century mansion. Well worth the detour
