This women’s ready-to-wear season, I was lucky enough to be able to attend some sublime shows. The first? That of Moon Young Heethe famous Korean designer. Moon Young Hee is a woman of rare elegance. Original draperies and volumes give us the impression that she could fly away in her clothes, without a shadow of a doubt. A distinctly Asian style, reminiscent of kimonos and other traditional dresses, with a restrained color palette: white, black, navy blue and occasional touches ofochre andsilver. Yokes, belted oversizes, structured veils, little laced-up derbies. The designer handles simplicity like no one else, giving us a real lesson in style. This collection evokes a determined woman with a touch of boyishness.
boyish
but with her femininity out in the open, as she wears slits, shows her legs and sometimes even her cleavage, all with sobriety and discretion.
