Vendanges Montaigne 2012: a fine vintage!

It’s the must-attend social gathering of the autumn. Held every two years, the Vendanges Montaigne brings together the major luxury and fashion houses and the most prestigious vineyards. On September 11, the rain that fell in the afternoon didn’t dampen Parisians’ spirits. It was a very pleasant moment to stroll down Avenue Montaigne and Rue François 1er with a glass in hand. Here’s a detailed look at the different atmospheres in the boutiques that played the game.
At Blumarine, a techno atmosphere with very loud music. Big crowds at Caron, where we bump into Vanessa Demouy. A seventies atmosphere at Courreges, where Nikos Alliagas poses in white glasses. At Dior, the place to be, with a huge boutique where the whole of Paris can be seen. Ferragamo cooked us some excellent pasta. At Nina Ricci, the tent outside is packed to the rafters. And the best vintages of champagne are flowing everywhere.
Dozens of photographers gather at the crossroads of rue Montaigne and rue François 1er, watching for VIPs.
A total of 45,000 invitation cards were sent out. Avenue Montaigne was jammed with people that evening. The “Rire Médecin” association was in the spotlight, with a subscription launched by participating houses to raise funds.
A pleasant, So Chic evening organized by the Comité Montaigne.
