SHOPPING AT VALENTINO IS DOING A “GOOD HUMANITARIAN DEED”…

To support the children victims of the Haitian disaster, Valentino has committed to the Francesca Rava Foundation -N.P.H Italia Onlus and France, to donate funds….

During Milan and Paris Fashion Week, Valentino will be supporting an important initiative for children in Haiti.
In collaboration with the Francesca Rava – N.P.H. Italia Onlus Foundation, which is constantly involved in humanitarian activities in Haiti, the Valentino boutiques on Via Montenapoleine and Avenue Montaigne will host an exclusive evening on February 24 in Milan and March 10 in Paris , respectively.
For this occasion, the artistic directors of the Italian house, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, have created a
t-shirt
that they will unveil during these evenings. This model will be offered exclusively in the Milan and Paris boutiques during the week of the fashion shows. All proceeds from the sale of this t-shirt will be donated in full to the Francesca Rava Foundation, N.P.H – France for the Paris event to fund medical-surgical programs specifically for children affected by the earthquake.
This t-shirt will also be available on Valentino.com from March 15. Here, too, all profits will go to support this important humanitarian project.

The Italian house also collaborated with photographer Stefano Guindanito give birth to the book
“Haiti through the eye of Stefano Guindani”
which will be sold in Valentino boutiques in Paris and Milan. This unique book, recently published by Electra, is the result of extensive reporting during numerous trips prior to this tragic earthquake. Entirely dedicated to thechildren of Haiti, these images recall the succession of dramatic events that continue to affect a nation marked by poverty and internal conflict. All proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the Foundation.

By committing itself unreservedly to this important philanthropic operation, Valentino is bearing witness to the extreme emergency situation of the children of Haiti…
