Cap Camarat Skeleton
Cultivating difference
French, family-owned and independent for 75 years, the watchmaking house Michel Herbelin continues to develop its Cap Camarat collection. On the verge of becoming emblematic, given the enthusiasm generated since its launch in 2018, it welcomes a new automatic model: the Cap Camarat Squelette. Exposing its inner beauty in a distinctive 70s design, this sporty-chic watch is produced in a limited series of 500 numbered pieces worldwide.
An assertive 70’s style
Elegant sportswoman with neo-vintage charmthe Cap Camarat Squelette remains true to the spirit of the collection, inspired by a timepiece from the 70s, part of the watchmaking heritage of French watchmaker Michel Herbelin. Identical in its hexagonal hexagonal structure accentuated by the protected crown, the 42mm 316L stainless steel case alternates between vertical brushed and polished facets, highlighting the sculpted nature of the material. Similar in finish, the bezel, adorned with six decorative screws, tempers the sharp architecture of the whole with its rounded shape.
Also characteristic of the watchmaking codes of the time, the integrated integrated bracelet the case. Made of four links with a brushed and polished finish, it complements the racy spirit of this timepiece, which is water-resistant to 100 meters, while reinforcing its robust allure.

A breathtaking view of the movement’s mechanics
Protected by a sapphire crystal, the dial highlights the movement automatic movement. Free of all superfluous surfaces, it has been skeletonized identical to the Cap Camarat design. Sober and modern, with a rhodium-plated treatment of components and gears, this skeletonization transforms the mechanism’s complex orchestration into an interweaving of sharp, compact and nervous lines. Created as a preview for Michel Herbelin, it showcases the art of transparency, revealing every detail behind the scenes. The oscillating weight has also been skeletonized to make it as transparent as possible.
A stylistic effect that gives the model a very strong personality while offering a mesmerizing spectacle, this visible mechanism is highlighted by a black flange displaying a precisely arranged minute track. At its sides, a slightly wider circular ring in the same color houses the indexes beveled hour-markers positioned as if levitating above the movement. Inspired by Michel Herbelin’s original model, the typical 70’s shape of these hour-markers is covered with luminescent luminescent material like the hands faceted rectangular hour and minute hands, to ensure perfect legibility in the dark.
