All Francis Kurkdjian’s creations tell a sensory story, in which perfume is naturally the hero. The stories he tells you today through his new collection of scented candles are linked to the intimate, to his memories, to present moments.
Translated into colors and scents, the collection of candles gathered under the name “les maisons de la Maison” is made up of five candles echoing five houses in which he has lived or still lives.

Rue des Groseilliers: This is the street of my childhood. Twenty kilometers from Paris as the crow flies, the family home was bordered by a small vegetable garden. Come summertime, Rue des Groseilliers, red and colorful berries, sweet and tart, were the delight of young and old alike. Today, these flavors are revealed in this candle, which reflects my childhood memories.

Anouche: This melodious word brings back memories of my maternal grandparents’ small apartment, where I lived for a few years not far from the Château de Vincennes. Anouche captures the indelible memory of my grandmother’s secret rose petal jam. A sweet, flowery candle with a hint of honey and spice, supported by an armful of quince.

La Trouverie: A former farm lost in a small village in the Perche region of France, La Trouverie was the scene of my escapades to play hide-and-seek, build wooden huts and chase butterflies. This candle brings my childhood memories back to life through a sweet scent of fresh straw that tickles the nose, rubs shoulders with lavender and plays with thyme and rosemary.

Les Tamaris: This is my little corner of paradise on the Atlantic coast between Bordeaux and La Rochelle; a family home nestled in the heart of nature, where only the chirping of crickets and the cracking of umbrella pines echo.Les Tamaris, like the summer wind, carries the scent of the immortelle and acacia trees that line the paths leading to the seaside.

Au 17: I love Paris, its magic, its vibrancy and its spirit of freedom. Au 17, the address of my refuge in the City of Light, has a cosy, eclectic atmosphere where intimate dinners, lively evenings and sweet tomorrows are lived by the glow of this candle with the scent of fireplace and Japanese incense.
