Juvenia’s famous Sextant steel watch moves to Le Bon Marché.
For 153 years, Juvenia has been making haute horlogerie and innovative watches. The brand pioneered the very first winding systems in the watchmaking industry. In 1914, Juvenia created a movement 2.5 mm high and 9.5 mm in diameter. To this day, it remains the world’s smallest movement. Their watchmaking workshops are located in La Chaux-de-Fonds, where Jacques Didisheim founded Juvenia in 1860.
Juvenia also broke new aesthetic ground in the 40s with the creation of the Sextant. The brand dedicated this extra-ordinary watch to the famous architect Le Corbusier. In homage to him, the watch features three geometric utensils: the protractor to indicate the hours, the ruler to record the minutes and the compass hand to mark the seconds.
The Juvenia Sextant is unique in the watchmaking world because it is the result of a major mechanical innovation. The Sextant is 40 mm long and made of steel. All movements are automated. The case is made of steel and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The watch is available in two colors. Either with a white dial and brown crocodile strap, or with a gray dial and black crocodile strap.
The model will be available from mid-February at Bon Marché.
