Zegna Group reports quarterly revenues of 433.8 million euros. Direct commerce is growing faster than the total, with different trajectories across brands.
Distribution offers a key to reading Zegna Group’s third quarter. In its statement filed with the SEC, the group reports revenues of 433.8 million euros, up 8.9% as reported and 8.2% organically.
The weight of the direct relationship
Direct-to-consumer sales reach 335.3 million euros. Their growth is 13% as reported and 11.4% organically. This channel therefore grew faster than total activity over the period considered.
The brands nonetheless follow distinct trajectories. Organically, Zegna advances 12.7% and Tom Ford Fashion 5.5%, while Thom Browne declines 7.4%. Gathering these performances under a single recovery narrative would erase an essential difference within the portfolio.
What the sales say — and leave open
Direct commerce brings the house’s observation closer to that of its customers. But its growth does not automatically indicate improved profitability: running a network, training its teams and maintaining its sites are also commitments.
The statement concerns revenues. It allows the commercial contribution of the direct channel to be observed, without quantifying its economic return here. To assess the strategy, this movement will need to be set against costs and the length of time it is sustained. At this stage, the quarter above all confirms the usefulness of reading by brand and by channel, beyond consolidated growth.
