In Shanghai, Bosideng opens “Warmth Code” until 1 November, two weeks after its “The Bloom” show in Paris. The exhibition for its 50th anniversary links the down jacket’s archives to the silhouettes seen on the runway.
On 19 October 2026, Bosideng opened “Warmth Code: half a century of history” at the Gate M West Bund Dream Center in Shanghai, the exhibition for its fiftieth anniversary. The opening was held in the presence of group executives, brand ambassadors and international film stars. The public can visit it until 1 November.
From the archives to the runway silhouettes
The route brings together archives, key pieces from the House’s history and creations from its international collaborations. It traces 50 years devoted to the down jacket, from the first technical research, guided by warmth and the needs of use, to the creation of forms and an aesthetic specific to down.
This thread links the Shanghai rooms to the “The Bloom” show, presented at Paris Fashion Week on 5 October. Its creative director, Pietro Ferragina, started from the volume of down. He combined it with the geometric order of Art Deco, the construction of the Shanghainese qipao, a fitted dress with a mandarin collar, and the weaving of Song brocade, a patterned silk from Suzhou born under the Song dynasty.
“Boundless”, the space for collaborations
A room named “Boundless” brings together the collaborations. With Jean Paul Gaultier, the “New-Generation Down Jacket” collection plays on innovative filling techniques and on the construction of the garment to obtain expressive silhouettes. The AREAL line, under the direction of Kim Jones, brings architectural volumes and a futuristic aesthetic to functional clothing. The collaborations with Kenzo Takada and Errolson Hugh are presented alongside.
The same down thus changes personality depending on the eye that works it, before the House works it with its own.
An independent creation as a point of view
For a Chinese brand approaching international fashion, the global stage brings visibility. Bosideng considers that lasting value lies in original, constantly renewed creations and in an independent, legible point of view. The House says it wants to bring Chinese clothing culture into contemporary creation, drawing on its knowledge of down. In Shanghai as in Paris, this position rests on the same material.
