It took some guts to go with pink. Not a timid pink, nor a decorative pink, but a bold, almost radiant pink, like a neon sign set against the blue horizon of South Beach. With the Pioneer Tourbillon Miami Bucherer Exclusive, Bucherer and H. Moser & Cie. present a rare timepiece that doesn’t shy away from making a statement. It possesses the unadulterated brilliance of a Florida late afternoon, the graphic energy of pastel facades, and that very contemporary way of creating a dialogue between high precision and chromatic freedom.
The result of a long-standing partnership between Bucherer and H. Moser & Cie., this limited edition of 28 pieces worldwide draws inspiration from Miami—its light, its azure sky, the turquoise Atlantic, and the spirit of freedom that permeates the city. The result is not a “themed” watch in the decorative sense of the term, but rather a horological interpretation of Miami’s visual intensity: a technical object in which color becomes the primary driving force.
The smoky blue dial features a deep gradient, crisscrossed by reflections that evoke the shimmer of light on water rather than a mere aesthetic effect. Surrounding it, a bright pink flange tightens the composition, accentuates the depth, and almost electrifies the readability. The leaf-shaped hands, coated in green Super-LumiNova®, add an unexpected, sportier, almost defiant touch. At H. Moser & Cie., a house often associated with a form of radical minimalism and elegant irony, this boldness is not entirely surprising: it extends a very personal approach to deconstructing the codes of luxury without ever compromising on its standards.
At six o’clock, the one-minute flying tourbillon opens up the dial like a mechanical breath. Its skeletonized bridge reveals the watch’s internal architecture, lending this colorful timepiece true horological depth. The contrast is intriguing: at first glance, the watch captivates with its Miami-inspired, almost pop-art color palette; as the eye lingers, it asserts its technical legitimacy. This is where the watch finds its balance: in this tension between visual ease and mechanical precision.
The Pioneer Tourbillon Miami is part of the Pioneer collection, which H. Moser & Cie. considers to be the brand’s most robust line, designed to withstand the rigors of daily life without compromising on sophistication. Beneath its apparent simplicity beats the HMC 805 in-house automatic movement, equipped with a bidirectional ratchet winding system. It oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of at least three days. Like the other tourbillons from H. Moser & Cie., this model features an exclusive double balance spring manufactured by Precision Engineering, the brand’s sister company, to enhance precision and stability.
The 40-millimeter stainless steel case maintains balanced proportions: 10.40 millimeters in height without the domed sapphire crystal, 12 millimeters with it. Water-resistant to 12 ATM and equipped with a screw-down crown engraved with the “M” signature, it boasts genuine robustness, a far cry from the sometimes fragile image associated with haute horlogerie complications. The 18-karat gold oscillating weight, engraved with the H. Moser logo, is visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
The choice of strap completes the model’s spirit. Presented on a pink rubber strap and accompanied by a second white rubber strap, the watch embodies a sophisticated vacation aesthetic. It has the feel of a fine timepiece you could wear by the water, but also serves as a more subtle statement: a complication no longer needs to be austere to be taken seriously.
Available starting April 28, 2026, exclusively at select Bucherer boutiques worldwide, this Pioneer Tourbillon Miami is aimed less at those who settle for the middle ground and more at collectors who understand that a watch can be at once joyful, rare, and meticulously crafted. Limited to just 28 pieces, it plays the exclusivity card without retreating into silence. It prefers color, light, and rhythm. A timepiece of the highest caliber, tanned by Miami but regulated with Swiss precision.
