Sneat: the essential app for dining out in Paris

Sneat is an application for smartphones(iOS) that will satisfy Parisians who love good food. A contraction of the words ” tosneak” and ” to eat, “Sneat” literally means to eat while sneaking.

The app will enable you to reserve a table for the very same day(sometimes up to 4 days in advance) in some twenty restaurants at the moment, including some of the capital’s most popular, such as Le Galopin, Le Dersou, Au Passage, Frenchie, Lazare and La Régalade, which are often fully booked or have waiting lists of several weeks.

To reserve a table, all you have to do is enter the number of diners, date and time, and Sneat will suggest a selection of restaurants that match your requirements. You can refine your search according to various criteria(type of cuisine, budget, neighborhood, etc.). To complete your reservation, you’ll need to pay a convenience fee(between €2 and €30 per place setting, depending on how difficult it is to get a table in the restaurant). 50% of the proceeds go back to the restaurants, enabling them to allocate tables to the application on a regular basis.

The application will be updated instantly, enabling restaurateurs to compensate for table cancellations and no-shows by letting users know that a table is available.

Sneat will be available free of charge from the Apple Store(an Android version is also planned) in February 2016, so why not book a nice table for Valentine’s Day?
