RESTAURANT CLEMENT AT THE PENINSULA NEW YORK

Restaurant Clement imports the flavors of the Northeast to the heart of the city, at the Peninsula New York. Unveiled in October 2013, Chef Brandon Kida’s contemporary American cuisine blends perfectly with the urban, sophisticated and casual environment of Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue. Clement’s adjoining bar is a modern lounge area where guests can enjoy tasty cocktails and glasses of wine.

Chef Kida, former Chef of Asiate and Lutece in New York, has developed a menu adapted to the seasons, inspired by products from the Northeast region.

Executive Pastry Chef Deden Putra prepares the Clement’s delicious desserts, also using local ingredients, depending on the season.

Sommelier Jared Fischer’s universal knowledge and passion for wines, have resulted in a comprehensive and structured menu, which received Wine Spectator’s 2014 “Best of Award of Excellence” distinction.

Yabu Pushelberg Design Office

Yabu Pushelberg, creators of timeless and artistic interiors for hotels, restaurants and retail outlets worldwide for 30 years, set out to make Le Clement an exceptional New York venue. The restaurant features both an elegant, intimate bar and larger spaces, providing the ideal setting for breakfasts, lunches and lively dinners.

Yabu Pushelberg also called on artists to design unique elements and finishes that were integrated into the Clement space, such as a splendid pottery installation in the reception area, as well as an eclectic collection of pottery, handcrafted by artist Pascale Girardin.

A private dining room, in warm tones of gray, gold and lavender, seats up to 12. Painted silk panels wrap the room.

The Clement Restaurant appellation

The choice of restaurant name follows the Peninsula tradition of naming hotel restaurants after their managers, who have enjoyed an outstanding career of loyal service to The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Limited (HSH).
