In 2021, rhodonite colors this symbol of good fortune for the first time with its tender pink hues. A rose gold setting completes this soft, harmonious ensemble.
THE ROSY SOFTNESS OF RHODONITE
A true Van Cleef & Arpels icon, the Alhambra collection has lent itself since 1968 to elegant interpretations, according to the materials and occasions. Van Cleef & Arpels has selected rhodonite to adorn this new Vintage Alhambra pendant. The delicacy of its pinkish color and the harmony of its material – sometimes opaque, sometimes translucent – were decisive criteria in selecting the stones. Slight brown inclusions and subtle white crystals delicately dot the mineral, giving each motif its own unique character.
The rhodonite sur face is meticulously polished to reveal all its nuances, before being hemmed with a pearled contour in rose gold. The combination of materials lends the piece a touch of tenderness and comfort. A brilliant-cut diamond illuminates the center of the iconic motif, elegantly underlining the softness of the colors.
