Calm and voluptuousness at Dries van NotenCalm and voluptuousness at Dries van Noten. To the sound of birds, the girls move peacefully across the moss, dressed in light dresses with thin straps, transparent blouses, baggy pants, some in sarouel style, accompanied by zipped jackets or long tailoring jackets… This nonchalance is counterbalanced by the incredible fabrics, researched and reworked for each of them over many months in the designer’s workshops. The result: rich, luminous textures finely cut to form a wardrobe that’s both simple and stylish. In the end, the girls, their hair and make-up left natural, lie on the floor, reminding us of a Woodstock seating area or a painting of young girls in bloom…
