What better way to start the new year than with a contemporary take on Paris’s heritage?
That’s what the capital’s museums are offering on Saturday January 24 and Sunday January 25, 2015.
Artists from Tigersushi, Raphael Henard, Les Cris de Paris, Mehdi Meddaci, Pierre Vanni, Gonzales, Léon Maret and Li Kinwu put their own stamp on the mix.

The Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris comes alive with a series of concerts and video screenings, selected from the museum’s collections. Balzac’s essay “Traité des excitants modernes” inspired Pierre Vanni to mount an exceptional exhibition, as did Léon Maret, the great illustrator who found inspiration in Victor Hugo’s spiritualism.
If music can awaken the music lover in you, Les Cris de Paris will touch you at the Petit Palais with their interpretation of the sublime Miserere, and Gonzales will rekindle your love affections by listening to his latest album throughout the Musée de la vie romantique.
Other legendary sites have been given a new lease of life, including the Musée Carnavalet, with a video installation by Medhi Meddaci; and the Musée Cognacq-Jay, located in the heart of the Marais, which houses Raphaël Henard’s Voice of Sensuality.
Finally, Li Kunwu’s drawings on China are on show at the Musée Cernuschi.
Paris Musées welcomes you to its exhibitions free of charge for a weekend, from 10am to 6pm.
