Last night, Luxsure was invited to discover Marjolaine Chen’s first collection of evening gowns and wedding dresses.
Trained as a fashion designer, Marjolaine Chen has lived between two cultures: Chinese, first of all, because of her origins, and French, because of her adopted country.
Having cut her teeth at Alexandre Vauthier and David Purves, Marjolaine Chen now turns her hand to making bespoke dresses. The event took place in the boutique-atelier, where customers come for their fittings. Surrounded by magnificent creations, we enjoyed a catwalk show of the most beautiful pieces in the collection.
Halfway between the brightness and brilliance of Chinese culture, with its vivid colors, and French tradition, with its lace details and noble materials, this collection is elegant, delicate and well-crafted. Each model is handmade and requires hours of work, proof of the designer’s commitment to her customers.
