Gratianne Bascans presents its first collection of bags and accessories for men and women. Luxury leather goods that reflect the excellence of French craftsmanship.

Gratianne and Amandine Bascans decided to revive the brand and create unique designs inspired by the origins and traditions of the family business, which has been in existence since 1830. In that year, Alexis Bascans created his first espadrilles at just thirteen years of age. From generation to generation, the family know-how is passed on. The sandal workshop soon becomes a thriving business. Today, Gratianne and her daughter Amandine are determined to carry on the family tradition.

Gratianne is the creator of this collection of bags. Passionate about equestrian sports, she takes part in numerous competitions and trains her thoroughbreds several times a week. The world of horses and that of leather are closely linked. From this attraction to leather was born the idea of creating her own line of leather goods. Her eldest daughter, Amandine, a fashion and design enthusiast, joined in the adventure, bringing her youth and passion to the design process.

This first collection includes travel bags, handbags, men’s satchels and wallets. Chic, elegant and timeless. But above all, quality. All bags are made by craftsmen. It takes around four to eight hours to make a leather bag, and several days to make a special order in shagreen or crocodile. These creations require time and patience. All leathers come from French or European calves or bulls. Metal parts are either in gold- or silver-plated brass, or in gold- or palladium-plated brass. What’s more, the GB pull tabs represent the shape of a Pala racket, a traditional Basque game.

Products are available in limited quantities. Each bag is sold with a unique passport. This makes it an exclusive model and guarantees its quality. You can discover the other models in the collection on the Gratianne Bascans website: http: //www.gratiannebascans.com.
