The iconic Italian style brand has commissioned the British artist a special edition of its iconic fragrance
A true symbol of la dolce vita, Acqua di Parma naturally turned to Clym Evernden to interpret in her own way the timeless elegance of Colonia, Acqua di Parma’s legendary fragrance for the festive season.
An eclectic player in contemporary design, a multi-award-winning artist and art director for the world’s leading labels, Clym Evernden stands out for his unique pencil stroke. His black ink line is fluid and graphic, giving full expression to his luminous sense of color.
The Colonia Artist Edition project fully embodies the values of Acqua di Parma, which finds in Clym’s simple yet sophisticated aesthetic a deep affinity. Clym’s designs, all executed by hand, have that slight imperfection that makes them unique and, by the same token, perfect. Acqua di Parma, with over a hundred years of tradition behind it, expresses its passion for craftsmanship and for everything that, when unhurriedly executed, conveys sincere energy through small imperfections.
Inspired by the world of Colonia, Clym has created a refined, elegant visual narrative that covers the entire Art Deco bottle of the Colonia Artist’s Edition. This unique work is the fruit of the artist’s highly personal suggestions. While working on this project, Clym escaped into his memories of sun-kissed Italian palaces, with their half-closed shutters and rooms bathed in light, impalpable curtains lifted by the wind and outside, the chirping of birds. And it’s a little bird that has become the protagonist of the Colonia Artist Edition drawing. Fascinated by nature and ornithology since childhood, Clym’s movements and actions make him a real character in the many scenes that unfold.

Lemon, Calabrian bergamot and sweet orange. These are the finest citrus fruits selected by Acqua di Parma, releasing their sparkling, transparent and sunny notes. These sensations are amplified at the heart of the fragrance, where the flowery essences of lavender, verbena and Bulgarian rose meet. Finally, the warm notes of precious woods vetiver, sandalwood and patchouli seal this unique encounter.
