The Carrousel du Louvre welcomes Le Printemps

A symbol of luxury and French culture since 1865, Le Printemps is moving to the Carrousel du Louvre. The new store, the first in 32 years, opened on Wednesday January 15. It takes the place of the Virgin Mégastore, which closed at the beginning of January.

The store is sleek and elegant, yet tiny compared to the 45,000m2 Boulevard Hausmann behemoth. With its 2,600 m2, the store offers a luxury accessories area (leather goods, jewelry, watches) and an area dedicated to beauty and perfumery. The concept store features top luxury brands such as Chloé, Givenchy, Yves St Laurent, Vanessa Bruno, Chopard, Hermès, Gucci, Dior and Chanel.

The Carrousel du Louvre boasts over 10,000m2 of stores. The arrival of Printemps confirms Place du Carrousel as a must for shopping and culture in Paris. This prestigious new showcase aims to appeal to Parisians and wealthy foreigners alike.

To celebrate its opening, Printemps du Louvre is hosting a three-month temporary exhibition. “Pop the bag: le sac dans tous ses états” showcases exclusive XXL works by artists from around the world. The boutique is like the Louvre 7 days a week, even on Sundays!
