The 24 Hours of Le Mans was an emotional event for Richard Mille’s partners. Sébastien Buemi won the LMP1 race for the 3rd consecutive time at the wheel of the Toyota TS050 Hybrid.

“It’s quite an exceptional feeling to think that we’ve won Le Mans three times. We went through a lot during the race. We had a lot of problems at the start, with a puncture and brake problems. We lost two laps at the safety stop when we had to change parts. That’s when we said to ourselves that victory was out of the question. But a few hours later, luck turned in our favor and we ended up winning the race. It’s proof once again that the 24 Hours can be played out to the very end.” Sébastien Buemi

For its first participation, the Richard Mille Racing Team was the center of attention with its 100% novice and all-female trio, and put in a faultless race to finish 9th in the LMP2 class and 13th overall.

On the strength of this first successful experience on the legendary Sarthe classic, the Richard Mille Racing Team is already looking forward to a new performance in nine months’ time! Before then, Beitske Visser, Sophia Flörsch and Tatiana Calderón will be back behind the wheel at Monza (October 9-11) for the penultimate round of the 2020 European Le Mans Series season.
