“Polo Bear
Created to mark the 50th anniversary of Ralph Lauren, the Polo Bear watch collection puts one of the American designer’s famous icons on timepieces crafted in the Swiss watchmaking tradition.
This limited-edition collection marks the first time Ralph Lauren has designed watches specifically for its Polo Ralph Lauren line.
The Polo Bear was born in 1991, when the famous German toy manufacturer Steill produced a limited edition of 200 teddy bears dressed in mini Polo Ralph Lauren outfits.
Since then, this elegant Polo Bear has been embroidered, printed and sewn onto everything from ties to sweaters.
The new watches pay tribute to four of these iconic bears: the Polo Flag Bear, the Polo Martini Bear, the Polo Preppy Bear and the Spectateur Bear.
Each is inspired by the outfits worn by Mr Ralph Lauren himself, but also by the must-have pieces among his timeless creations.
