In an open letter published in the Financial Times on February 18, 2015, Rolls Royce pledged to regularly update shareholders on the progress of the Cullinan project.
As part of its bi-annual updates, Rolls Royce is today releasing photos of the latest major milestone in the development program for its new “elevated off-road vehicle”. Public testing of the first fully-finished model begins tomorrow.

The world’s leading luxury car brand kept its customers regularly informed about this meticulous development program. Brand enthusiasts were able to see the first mule designed for the development of the new all-wheel-drive suspension system, as well as those built to test the all-new aluminum architecture integrated into all Rolls Royce cars from 2018.
The latest car to be developed will be tested in multiple locations around the world during a demanding program to ensure that the final product will drive “Effortless … Everywhere “. In particular, the Cullinan project will arrive at the Arctic Circle shortly after Christmas to undergo resistance and grip tests in cold weather. Later in 2017, the car will be driven to the Middle East to measure up to the highest temperatures and overcome difficult desert conditions.
“This is a truly exciting moment in the development of the Cullinan project both for Rolls Royce and for the luxury enthusiasts who follow us around the world,” says Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chairman and CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. “By combining, for the first time, a 4-wheel drive system with a new ‘luxury architecture’, we are well on the way to creating an authentic Rolls Royce that, like previous models, will redefine the standards by which luxury products are judged.”
