Whether you’re a tea lover or simply looking for a place to discover new flavors, the Thé-Ritoires tea room is the ideal place to relax and spend a pleasant moment in an atypical setting.

Located in the Saint-Germain-des-Prés district of Paris, this charming tea room is overseen by Marie Schneier and Arnaud Bachelin, who also collaborated on the development of tea at the Plongeoir Chez Hermès tea room in Paris. The salon is a cocoon of Asian, English and French flavors. A surprising but perfectly balanced blend, in the image of the label.

“Because tea is first and foremost a story of the land”, Thé-Ritoires offers teas imported directly from China, i.e. with no middleman, from producer to store. The same goes for the traditional service and respect for the product, with one of the preparers being of Asian origin. The salon’s decor is reminiscent of the old tea counters, in which ancestral objects linked to the preparation of tea mingle with a variety of slightly more European settings. menudef-page-001

The idea is to pass on know-how while enjoying a few cups of tea. In autumn, Thé-Ritoires will be offering a double service tasting, French or Chinese-style, giving the more curious the chance to try out a “Chinese cup-of-tea” from Paris, while munching on a few sweet and savoury dishes.

You can visit Thé-Ritoires directly, at 5 rue de Condé, 75006 Paris, or go to http://www.the-ritoires.com/.
